Clicking the left section will open the regular File Browse dialog, and clicking the arrow on the right section will give you the other options.

By shortcut, are you referring to a keyboard shortcut? If so, you should be able to open logs with Ctrl + O, and close them with Ctrl + W.

I agree with you on the Open button feedback, I'll add this to our list.

We'd like an shortcut for opening/closing a log. And clicking on the Open button menu should open the 'Open File' dialog right away. The other open options should be shown when clicking on the small drop down arrow besides 'Open'.
