Another DF feature I depend on is being able able to use existing or modified DF functions to move windows between splits or to resize them to fit multiple splits. I then map those functions to my windows touchpad gestures so I can four-finger swipe to move a window (along with mouse cursor) to another split based on the swipe-direction. Or hold down SHIFT while doing the same gesture to resize the window into the direction's split.

DF splits are still useful in this scenario since FZ zones do not support maximizing windows within the zone but works great for DF splits.

I'm in love with FZ, the main reason why I wanted to give DF a try was precisely for the maximizing windows within a zone. If FZ had such function I wouldn't have considered DF. But then I come to try DF, and thank god there is a trial and I start to find this little "quirks", and I am super discouraged from buying a license. I can live with the lack of maximization of FZ, sure I have to drag the window to maximise to the zone, but at least there's no little things, at least in my experience.

Its a shame that in 6 years, this has been added as a request and never implemented, this shows a bit of lack of care in my opinion, simply becuase this is a licensed product. With FZ you can't expect anything, it's free after all.

No, in Wallpaper Engine you subscribe to different wallpaper's via the Steam Workshop interface in the app. The wallpaper you subscribe to is then downloaded to your computer. In this case it is being reported that the villains are somehow bundling malware in to the files you download for the wallpaper effects and when run it steals your Steam credentials.

The only thing Display Fusion has in common with Wallpaper Engine in resgards to operations is they both use Steam as a marketplace, one of the most popular software marketplaces in the world. There is zero risk.

Furthermore, the offending wallpapers have been purged from the platform and security patched up. Here are the steps you can take to see if you were affected by the malware and further details on whats been done to remedy the situation:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/2/569289424252266099/

Sorry if a mod was meant to answer this, I didn't know what the response time would be for you guys on the weekend and this guy seems fairly concerned about his risk of exposure.

Hi everyone. For my 40th birthday recently, I treated myself with a new GPU and a new monitor setup. I got rid of an old DVI monitor, got a nice big curved one, and turned my old primary monitor into a vertical one by turning it on its side. The vertical one is using HDMI, the curved one is using DisplayPort.

The one thing now is that whenever my PC goes to sleep, when I wake it up, it apparently thinks the vertical monitor disconnected or something? And all of the windows that were previously on it move to the curved monitor, and everything gets resized. (Weirdly, this does not happen if I shut the computer off directly).

Is there a setting in DisplayFusion that will be like... "restore windows to how they were when you detect a new monitor"? I don't really know what's going on, but it feels like this is something there would be an option for, though I can't find it.

Thanks!

Hello,

I have observed the Alt + Tab handler that DisplayFusion uses not consistantly ordering the last used window as the proceeding target window when pressing alt + tab. Disabling DisplayFusion to preview Windows 11's native alt + tab handler does not appear to have this issue. Example: Current window is Google Chrome and previous focused window was DisplayFusion settings window. Pressing alt + tab to switch back to the expected DisplayFusion window sometimes does not return back to this window, it may target another window in the alt + tab sequence. The ordering of DisplayFusion's preview/sequence when holding alt + tab sometimes also does not show the correct/expected most recent to last ordering.

Correct me if I am wrong but prior versions of DisplayFusion (cannot confirm the issue started in 12.1 beta 3, may have started in prior versions) did not have this issue and I am fairly certain this behaviour is undesirable and I have searched the disussions to see if there have been other reports of this but I did not find anything relevent.
