1) Ability to disable saving what log files were opened
2) If the above is not possible then how about expanding the Remove to delete more than one at a time and without the confirmation screen?
3) The Remove Dead is fine but how about a Remove All (with or without confirmation).

Best Regards,

There is an option in the LogFusion settings window under hte Log Settings tab called "re-open logs when starting LogFusion". If you un-check this it won't save which logs were opened. :)

I guess I spoke too soon. I followed your advice and unchecked the Re-Open logs when starting LogFusion. I assume this option prevents the re-opening of the files that were open when LogFusion was closed. This is working fine. What my issue was/is that it is still saving the file name in the Logs tab and over time that becomes a large list and I am only able to delete these file names one at a time. I was hoping for an option of either not saving the file name or CTRL-A to select all and then Remove all selected.

Ah yep, I've added this to our feature request list. In the meantime, since the history is just stored in the registry, if you exit LogFusion, then run this at a command line, it will clear the history of previous log files:

reg delete "HKCU\Software\Binary Fortress Software\LogFusion\LogSources"

Hope that helps!

Hello! Quick heads up to let you know that you can multi-select the logs on the Settings > Logs tab in the latest version :)

Thanks!

I am running LogFusion 6.4.1 (the latest version I presume) but the multi-select in the Settings.Logs tab is not working for me. (neither Ctrl + click or Shift + click). Is there some other setting that activates this?

Nope, there aren't any tricks! Shift + Click works when I test it here. Could you try 6.5 Beta 1?

I was able to narrow the problem down. The multi select is working when running LogFusion on my local Win 10. It does not work when I connect to my client's server using RDP and run LogFusion there. I have searched all over for RDP key combinations but could not find anything that would work. Interestingly the standard Windows multi file select does work in the Open Files dialog. RDP seems to swallow the CTRL+Click and CTRL+SHIFT-Click keys in the RichTextBox control in the app. Incidentally, the server is running Win 2008 R2 SP1. Any ideas?

Is it not working at all, or is it just not showing the lines as being highlighted? Just wondering if you try a multi-select, then click the remove button, do the ones you selected get removed?

Yes, it is only the highlighting that is not working. It does remove all selected even though only the last one clicked on is highlighted.

Ok, thanks! I'll do some testing with that and we'll put it on our list to fix up for the next version :)
