The application sometimes will load a separate instance of logfusion when either monitoring a folder and opening in a new window if i use the open with context menu of windows to load a log file. its almost as if the monitoring feature isn't locked to the PID of the currently loaded log fusion application instance.

In .Net there is a feature to prevent multiple instance loads. Can we have that option made available to us?

I've confirmed this bug, and we'll see if we can fix it up for the next version (or perhaps provide it as an option for the user to decide).

Thanks!

I know that i myself like a single application window with many many tabs. Some users may want to group theirs by different application windows instead. If it was an option it would satisfy both mindsets on the topic.

Yep! Providing the option to the user is definitely best :)

LogFusion will now run as a single instance, and we've added a button to the log file toolbar that allows you to break out the log into it's own window.

The new LogFusion beta is available here: http://www.logfusion.ca/Download/Beta/

Thanks!

I have tried to reproduce the bug i experienced and its not happening in beta. I even tried forcing a batch load of files through the open with context menu and this no longer occurs. Thanks. Makes the loading of multiple logs much more cleaner now.
