Love the application: I use it almost daily.

Would it be possible to auto enable a highlight rule? Via a flag in the settings dialog or another system.

Or if that would be to easy: working with categories/groups based upon file/log type.
.dat file -> auto enable dat file highlight rules
.log file --> auto enable log file highlight rules
event log -> …

But that would require an additional config layer between log & highlight rule.

It's up to you what's possible with the available development time.
