Great program, does exactly what I need.

1. Minimize to tray.
1a. Notifications for highlights.

I am currently monitoring logs for error codes, and would love to be able to minimize the program to the tray and be notified through the standard Windows notifications when certain conditions (highlights) are met, to save me having to keep an eye on it myself.

2. Word wrap.

Also found a bug.

1. When watching a folder for logs, it will automatically set "Look in sub-directories" to "yes" when hitting apply.

I've added your vote to an open feature request for #1 (and 1a).

For #2, do you just need word wrap for viewing specific lines? If so, double-clicking a line will bring up a new window with that line wrapped in a text box.

For #3, I couldn't reproduce this, but I'm wondering if I'm testing it wrong. Could you tell me the exact steps you use to reproduce this issue?

Thanks!

I've done some more testing on this, and it only appears to happen when I make changes to the filter. The problem is intermittent, but works both ways. It will either disable the sub-folder box or enable it once I hit apply, depending on what I originally selected.

Create a new watched folder, change the filter, press OK, then apply. Go back and edit the filter, tick the sub-folder box, press OK, then apply. This time it resets the sub-folder box. Took me a couple tries.

Also another bug - the last line of the log isn't being displayed. It's a difficult to tell sometimes, unless you double click below the last displayed line.

Regarding wordwrap. Purely for viewing ease, so I could see the lines at a glance without needing to double-click, but also so that longer lines stand out as multiple rows when highlighted.

It would also be handy if there was a couple options added to the 'close' button - It would be nice if we could choose to have the tab to the left/right of the closed tab activated, rather than returning to the first log opened. A 'close-all right' and 'close-all left" logs option would also be handy, and for aesthetic purposes the addition of a close button in the upper right, below the window controls. I've been spoiled by Notepad++

I've added those feature requests to our list as well.

Regarding the bug with the last line not showing, I wasn't able to reproduce that here. What's your display scaling set to in Windows?

Don't feel bad, as I'm not able to reproduce it this morning either. I'll keep track of my actions and update this thread when I'm able to reproduce it. Hopefully isn't too difficult, as it's been so constant, I started thinking of it as a feature.

Display scaling is set to 100%.

Spent a while yesterday trying to get the bottom line to misbehave without luck. Woke up this morning after leaving it running all night, and the last log to open in my watched folders is having the bug. It's not just the last line, but the scrollbar appears to be slightly hidden also.

I have four total logs open, one of those logs is partially cutting off the down-arrow button on the scrollbar, and another log is cutting off the button, part of the scrollbar and the last line.

The logs are quite small, the largest is under 500kb, and the others under 50kb. I'm using auto-size columns, auto-scroll, and show grid, however, show grid doesn't persist when watched logs automatically get added unfortunately. It would be nice to have show grid as a global toggle.

Attached screen-grabs of the issue. Sorry for the width, but I didn't want to resize the window before taking the grabs, in case that fixed it (it doesn't btw).

Thanks! Was the LogFusion window minimized over night? Or left visible?

Wasn't minimized, but didn't have focus, and was on another monitor.

Ok, thanks! I've found a similar issue when running at 125% scaling, so hopefully when we fix that up, it'll fix this up for you as well. I'll let you know as soon as the next version is available to try out :)

We've just released LogFusion 5.0 Beta 1 (https://www.logfusion.ca/Download/Beta), and the scroll bar issue and sub-folders checkbox issue should be all fixed up.

Thanks!
