... when disabling the "Limit the number of bytes to load from a log file when first opened" option.

Unfortunately our logs frequently grow over 200 MB and I disabled that option for convenience. But logfusion will freeze when loading a large one, I'd have to manually crop the log and try loading again.

TaskManager reports over 2 GB of RAM usage when loading a 200 MB log file. Are there plans to better handle memory?

I'm sure you have considered it but it almost seems like the grid control is not using virtualization...

We'll test this out and see what we can do!

We were able to reproduce the same behaviour here, and we'll hopefully have it all fixed up for the next version.

Thanks!

We're still planning to have it fixed in the next version, though I can't offer an ETA on when it will be available yet.

Thanks!

It looks like this wasn't fixed in version 4.3. :-[

Not yet, no. This is proving to be more tricky than it seemed at first. We don't use the Win32 ListView because it's not flexible enough, so the Virtual ListView Style isn't available to us. We'll keep you posted when we have more news, in the meantime, limiting the log size or number of lines in the LogFusion Settings would be the best way to workaround this for now.

Thanks!

We've just released LogFusion 5.0 Beta 1 (https://www.logfusion.ca/Download/Beta), and this should be much better now. Could you test it out and let us know how it goes?

Thanks!
