Reading Logs on a Samba server

2 discussion posts

Have been testing LogFusion, it works great and I'm thinking of buying some licenses. However, I have a problem when opening a log file on a linux machine via Samba. It works great for 2-3 hrs or so, then it stops updating the file. Even closing and opening the file does not show the latest updates. I have to restart LogFusion to get it working again. It's not an authentication issue, because the files are accssible over file explorer. I used another bare-bones logging program and it stays connected & updating for hours with no issue. Any idea or workaround? TIA..

Which Linux distro are you running? We'll test this out and see what we can find out.

I just wanted to let you know that we're still working on this issue, as it's a bit more complicated than expected. Thanks for your patience!

We were able to reproduce this issue here, and I've added it to our list. We'll be sure to let you know as soon as we're able to fix it up
