Has anyone ever had an issue with LogFusion 6.5 and the Windows Application Log not show anything. There are entries in the Application log when viewed through the Windows Event Viewer but it won't show the data in LogFusion 6.5 for the Application log. The other Windows Event Logs show data without any isssues. I am looking for thoughts or ideas.

Hello,

There are two ways to open event logs in LogFusion:

1) In the main LogFusion window, click Open Other > Event Log > Application

2) In the main LogFusion window, click Open Other > Event Channel > Application

Are both of those methods not working for you?

The machine in question won't show anything when using path one. It does show when using path two.

I have another machine that both paths work without issue.

Hello,

Could you send me a debug log?

  • On the LogFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
